About this door

The External Hemlock Unsworth door is a great choice for customers wanting to bring as much light as possible into an area.

With an attractive and unique nine-light design, this door brings a great traditional look whilst allowing light to flood into the property.

These doors are manufactured from solid hemlock in the United Kingdom using traditional mortice & tenon, wedged and glued construction.

Glazing

Various glass options are available and these doors will accept a 4/6/4 cavity double-glazed unit.

Things we thought you may need to know!

Please be aware that any glass supplied may be temporarily glazed (loose pinned) into the door or even supplied separately. This is done to make the door easier to decorate (allows you to paint behind rebates) & handle whilst hanging.

Please note that due to the small glazing apertures on this door, some glazing panels are too small to be manufactured in toughened glass.

These doors may be despatched with extended stiles (horns) to ensure protection during transit & storage. They can easily be removed prior to installation.

Very pleased to have found a rare door that is really solid wood, not engineered, and constructed in a proper traditional way with mortice and tenon joints. Looks good and is the real thing. Thank you, Doordeals. I searched for a long time before I found you.

This door comes with the optional choice of glazing. We order the glass in especially for you, so it will add a small amount of time to the overall manufacturing lead times.

At present, most glazing options are taking between 3 - 10 working days (approx) to arrive into us.

Where available, specialist glass such as stained, leaded, or encapsulated glass can take up to 6 weeks; however, we think it's worth the wait!

It's important to factor in these lead times, as once ordered, we are unable to cancel or refund the glazing.

On this product, there is an option to have the door made to a custom size.

The maximum dimensions we can offer would be 915mm (36") x 2133mm (84"). Anything outside of these measurements may require an additional charge or in some cases may not be able to be manufactured, please call us on 01142557800 before placing your order.

As these doors are made to order, there is a lead time for manufacture, please select your size above and an estimated lead time will appear. We'll also follow up with an email once you've placed your order.

Please be aware that during certain times of the year, such as Christmas, festive and religious periods, this lead time may increase.

Manufactured from specially selected timbers, these doors are supplied ready for finishing. The doors are suitable for a paint finish.

The correct storage, fitting and finishing of your new door/s are very important factors in getting the best out of your purchase.

Please always avoid the use of water-based finishing products as this may cause the door to bow, warp or expand. Using these types of products will invalidate your guarantee.

As ready-to-finish doors, a modicum of preparation may be required on-site, pin-holes and loose knots may need filling and light sanding may be required before applying a finish to your doors.

Before finishing your door, we would always recommend reading our Door Care information which can be viewed by clicking here, along with any additional manufacturer's documentation supplied with the door itself.

If there is anything you are unsure of, our friendly team are here to help.
