About this door

These Internal Hardwood Pattern 20 Pairs from LPD Doors would be an ideal solution for anyone who would like to open up a room and allow extra light to flow through from room to room. These doors are manufactured from kiln-dried red hardwood timber. Every effort is made to ensure that all timber used for our doors comes from well-managed forests where more trees are planted than harvested. All doors have beading cut, mitred and pinned.

They come as a 40mm thickness and can only be used internally.

Glazing

These double internal doors is supplied ready to glaze with various glass options, allowing you to customise the door to your tastes.

Things we thought you may need to know!

Please be aware that any glass supplied may be temporarily glazed (loose pinned) into the door or even supplied separately. This is done to make the door easier to decorate (allows you to paint/stain behind rebates) & handle whilst hanging.

These doors are listed as the TOTAL size for the pair of doors rather than the size of each door leaf.

This door comes with the optional choice of glazing. We order the glass in especially for you, so it will add a small amount of time to the overall manufacturing lead times.

At present, most glazing options are taking between 3 - 10 working days (approx) to arrive into us.

Where available, specialist glass such as stained, leaded, or encapsulated glass can take up to 6 weeks; however, we think it's worth the wait!

It's important to factor in these lead times, as once ordered, we are unable to cancel or refund the glazing.

Supplied unfinished, these doors are able to take a stain or paint finish.

The correct storage, fitting and finishing of your new doors are very important factors in getting the best out of your purchase.

Please always avoid the use of water-based finishing products as this may cause the door to bow, warp or delaminate. Using these types of products will invalidate your guarantee.

Before finishing your door, we would always recommend reading our Door Care information which can be viewed by clicking here, along with any additional manufacturer's documentation supplied with the door itself.

These doors are manufactured using laminated veneered lumber (LVL). LVL or more commonly known as “engineered timber” is a modern method of construction that is economical with the use of natural timber resources.

The main parts & rails of the door are usually constructed using solid strips/blocks of timber (some internals may contain a laminated board and/or particleboard), which are then glued and then clamped together.

They are then faced with a veneer and edged with a solid timber “lipping”. The benefits of using engineered construction doors over more traditional methods are that it is far more unlikely to twist or split (we do not get problems with panels splitting) and possibly the most important reason is that it is much more eco-friendly!
