Double Heavy Section 2.8 Oak Door Frame

About this frame

The Heavy Section Oak Double Door Frame is manufactured using solid European Oak. The laminated construction has the advantage of extra stability and material economy without losing authenticity. Lengths are supplied sufficient to cut for most standard double door sizes.
There is also the option to buy separate "mullions" which can help create a sidelight configuration door frame.
Integral draught strips are included.

Double Frame Contents (Suitable for standard sized double doors) - Supplied with 2 x Legs, 1 x Head, a Cill and Cill convertor. This frame is suitable for usage with doors and door pairs up to 82" (2082mm) high and 106" (2695mm) wide.

An optional Mullion is used to enable a double door frame to be used to accept a single or double door and a separate sidelight or sidelights!

• 2 x 2100mm 95mm x 42mm "Legs" (including draught strip)
• 1 x 2800mm 95mm x 42mm "Head" (including draught strip)
• 1 x 2800mm 132mm x 28mm "Cill"
• 1 x 2800mm 17mm x 24mm Cill Convertor.

Finishing

External Doorframes can be stained or painted. We recommend the use of Oil-based finishes. 

Things we thought you might need to know!

The assembly of these frames requires a modicum of joinery skill. The legs and heads are supplied as lengths with the end-user having to join them on site.

It is an unfortunate fact that exterior Oak doors and frames, from whichever supplier, are not suitable for exposure to direct rain and hot sun and therefore must be sheltered in some form - Perhaps using a porch or canopy. These frames are eminently suitable for exterior use, but with this pre-condition to validate any guarantee.
