About this door

The Oak Hagan Half Light Glazed is a beautiful panelled oak, cottage style interior boarded design door.

The attractive oak grain fits in perfectly with traditional and contemporary décor creating an aura of elegance.

A very popular design in recent years, the Hagan features deep, square grooves in the face of the door, providing clean and elegant lines which create an attractive aesthetic.

Six glazing apertures compliment the style in a traditional pattern, with attractive glazing bars adding visual interest, whilst allowing light to pass between rooms.

Also available in a panelled door, fire door, different glazing patterns, bi-folding and door pair options, this oak internal door range allows you to complete the look throughout your property.

Glazing

This glazed internal door is supplied pre-glazed with a clear bevelled safety glass, this glass option is very stylish and will allow the maximum of light to flow through your home whilst complimenting the style of the bottom panel.

Good quality, shame that the matching bifold wasn't available, so had to cancel that part of the order as delivery date was too long to wait. Refund activated promptly with no issues. Good service

Supplied unfinished, these doors are able to take a stain or paint finish. Our recommendation for a natural, clear finish would be to use a Treatex Hardwax Oil, which is available from the "Stains, Paints and Finishes" section of our website.

On this product, there is also an option for the door to be supplied pre-finished by our french polisher. If you select this option, your door will be supplied pre-finished to a professional standard.

Your door will be pre-sanded with 180 grit sandpaper before being sprayed with a base coat of A/C lacquer. When dry, the door is then "de-nibbed" by hand and sprayed with further top coats of A/C lacquer, specially formulated for doors and internal joinery.

This achieves a great looking semi-matt finish which is resistant to knocks and finger marks and is smooth to the touch.

Selecting this option will add approximately a week to any estimated lead time.

The correct storage, fitting, and finishing of your new doors are very important factors in getting the best out of your purchase.

Please always avoid the use of water-based finishing products as this may cause the door to bow, warp or delaminate. Using these types of products will invalidate your guarantee.

Before finishing your door, we would always recommend reading our Door Care information which can be viewed by clicking here, along with any additional manufacturer's documentation supplied with the door itself.

These doors are manufactured using laminated veneered lumber (LVL). LVL or more commonly known as “engineered timber” is a modern method of construction that is economical with the use of natural timber resources.

The main parts & rails of the door are usually constructed using solid strips/blocks of timber (some internals may contain a laminated board and/or particleboard), which are then glued and then clamped together.

They are then faced with a veneer and edged with a solid timber “lipping”. The benefits of using engineered construction doors over more traditional methods are that it is far more unlikely to twist or split (we do not get problems with panels splitting) and possibly the most important reason is that it is much more eco-friendly!
